Paloma - An espadrille by Rivea

At Rivea, every creation tells a story, a tale of craftsmanship where every detail matters. From the meticulous selection of materials to the precision of the finishes, our espadrilles embody the perfect balance between tradition and innovation. Inspired by the Riviera and driven by an artisanal heritage, they celebrate a timeless style while honoring the promise of a sustainable future.

The elegance of the Riviera in a name

"Paloma" embodies the soul of the Riviera, blending timeless chic with Mediterranean softness. This name, meaning "dove" in Spanish, evokes peace and lightness, much like the Iberian coasts, the birthplace of the espadrille. It also resonates with the artistry of Pablo Picasso, who chose this poetic name for his daughter. Just like our espadrilles, "Paloma" gracefully transcends time with natural elegance.

Excellence in craftsmanship

Our collection is carefully crafted in Spain, near Elche, in our family-run workshop renowned for its exceptional expertise. Using premium materials, recycled and organically sourced, it embodies a refined and understated style, combining elegance and sustainability.

Respect et audace

The creation of an espadrille is a story of authenticity, where timelessness and craftsmanship have intertwined for generations. While its heritage remains intact, we have chosen to reinterpret this summer icon with a modern approach. By prioritizing sustainable materials, a refined design, and meticulous finishes, we combine respect for the past with contemporary boldness.

The Rivea sole is adorned with colorful granules, like confetti, making each piece unique.

The Art of Transparency

The result of meticulous research and development, our espadrille stands out with a transparent sole made from recycled plastic waste. This sole subtly reveals the "R" of Rivea and is adorned with colorful granules, like confetti, making each piece unique. A true craftsmanship masterpiece, passionately created by our artisans.

Tradition and sustainability

Surrounded by a carefully braided jute thread, the Paloma espadrille stands out with its use of recycled cotton fabric and proudly features its Rivea signature on the side, designed by artist Marianna Tomaselli. This unique design embodies a harmonious balance between artisanal tradition and eco-conscious commitment.
